Michael Bigney of Nursing Placement, a Pawtucked based home nursing service employing about 300 people throughout the year, offers HealthAccessRI to his employees. “Some part-time workers or single moms can not afford insurance premiums or the co-payments,” says Bigney, “We can afford this, and I feel good about being able to help them receive regular primary care.” Nursing Placement, the first employer in RI to offer Health Access RI to its employees, pays the monthly and enrollment costs for full-time workers, and a percentage of the cost for part-timers.
Employers may offer Health Access RI to their employees for a $25 per employee monthly fee. For a limited time participating practices waive the $75 per employee enrollment fee. This savings goes directly to you!
Employers offering the program have the option of paying all or any portion of the costs of a membership in a Health Access RI practice for their employees. So, for between $300 and $360 a year per person, employers can give the benefit of quality primary care services to their employees who do not have health insurance. Employees (patients) pay the office visit fee of $5 to $15, depending on which practice they choose. For more information, please complete the form below.
